The Challenge
Following a period of intense rainfall in the Sacramento area, Auburn Ravine experienced serious flooding. This led to widespread bank erosion and, in some sections, the water veered off its natural course—posing a threat to nearby infrastructure and residential areas.
The Solution
To prevent further damage and restore control over the water’s path, engineers implemented AquaRockBag®—an environmentally conscious and highly effective erosion control system. The bags were quickly deployed and strategically stacked to form a robust barrier that stabilized the shoreline.
The Outcome
Installation was completed within just one week. Unlike previous attempts using loose rock and various geotextiles, the AquaRockBag® remained firmly in place. Their durable construction and ease of placement made them ideal for this high-risk environment, offering both immediate results and long-term stability.
