Water is a key factor for sustainable cities and a high quality of urban life. Against this backdrop, the Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources Management at RWTH Aachen University is hosting the 56th International Hydraulic Engineering Symposium Aachen, Germany, which will take place on January 15 and 16, 2026. The conference focuses on modern approaches to sustainable water management, including rainwater harvesting and the use of green infrastructure. In addition, digital and intelligent systems for monitoring and controlling water consumption, as well as concepts for multifunctional water landscapes that support responsible use of water resources, will be presented.
We will be attending the event as an exhibitor and will be showcasing AquaRockBag, an innovative solution for the sustainable and efficient use of water resources in urban environments. The symposium therefore offers not only valuable technical insights, but also an ideal platform for exchanging ideas on practical solutions and future-oriented approaches to urban water management.
